Selçuk Toğul

SELÇUK TOĞUL (1952 - )

He was born in Istanbul in 1952. He graduated from Italian High School Middle Department and Kadıköy Commercial High School. He left Boğaziçi University. A fine craftsmanship and an endless imagination predominate in his paintings, in which he depicts the imaginary lives of groups of men and women, in the fantastic setting of an exotic and rich nature setting. With these aspects, Toğul, who is among the representatives of a pure and unsophisticated understanding of art, which can be explained by the principles on which pure-hearted (naive) painting is based, continues his life and works in Istanbul.
