HALE KARPUZCU (1976 -   )

Karpuzcu was born in Uşak in 1976. She attended İstanbul University Faculty of Business Administration and then went to University of California in San Diego. Since 1996 she has been working in various workshops such as Bubi, Gülseren Kayalı, Balkan Naci İslimyeli to name a few and has particioated in many group exhibitions. She focuses on children. Hale Karpuzcu's portraits of children reveal the secret innocence within in total transparency. It’s pure memories of the past wrapped around the adolescnt who is trying to stand.We see the astonishment, the fear of the child who is surrounded by the evil world. Hale Karpuzcu lives and works in İstanbul.
