NEŞE ERDOK (1940 - )
She was born in Istanbul in 1940. She graduated from Istanbul State Fine Arts Academy (now known as Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University) Painting Department, Neşet Günal Workshop. Between 1965 and 1966, she studied painting in Madrid with the scholarship of the Spanish government. She studied painting, fresco and stained glass in Ensba between 1967-1972 with a state scholarship. She organized his first personal exhibition in 1972 in Paris. In her works, in which she reflects the singular figure as a monumental painting theme, in an expressive style that will highlight its psychological dimensions, the emphasis on meaning is given within measured deformations. It is among the typical representatives of the figure-oriented trend, ranging from Osman Hamdi to Neşet Günal, middle and young generation artists. She continues her life and work in Istanbul.
