VOLKAN DİYAROĞLU (1982 -   )

Diyaroğlu was born in Istanbul in 1982. After studying at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department, he graduated from Universidad Politecnica de Valencia Facultad de Bellas Artes de San Carlos with Promoe Scholarship. In 2007, he held his solo exhibition in the project called Hospitalites, organized by the most important museums of Paris and Ile-de-France in Abbaye de Maubuisson. In 2008, he won the first place in painting at Premio de Bancaja, one of the most important competitions in Spain, and his works were exhibited in the IVAM museum. The works of the artist, who held 15 personal exhibitions, have been exhibited in 6 museums and 10 different countries. His works are included in Coca Cola Foundation, Fundación Bancaja, Romania George Enescu National Museum, T.C. Ministry of Foreign Affairs and many private Turkish collections, most recently in Documenta. Working with many materials in different ways, the artist designs the "prehistoric future of humanity" in his collages as well as in his canvases. His paintings are constantly in motion and changing, showing what exists and what will happen. Past and future are in the same direction in his works. The artist lives and works in Valencia / Spain.
