SEZGİN MALKOÇ (1979 -    )

Sezgin Malkoç was born in 1979 in İstanbul. During his primary school years, he became the student of famous Rıza Kerimi, who immigrated to Turkey after the Iranian Revolution. Afterwards, he worked in the Atelier of Selahattin Camcıoğlu. He emphasizes “city life” in his works, which can be described as a mega village, with stain perspective in the forefront with geometric and organic are interacted. Sometimes he depicts the chaotic structure of the vicious circle or the savage self that does not comply with the culture of the city life. He lives and works in his studio in İstanbul.
