Kemal Önsoy

KEMAL ÖNSOY (1954 - )

He was born in 1954 in Eğirdir. In 1980, he graduated from the Istanbul State Academy of Applied Fine Arts (now Marmara University) Painting Department, Ergin Inan Workshop. He continued his studies in New York between 1990-1993. Önsoy, who made his first exhibition in Istanbul in 1979, later took part in many exhibitions in Italy and Brazil. His works were exhibited at the 1990 Venice Biennale, the 4th Istanbul Biennial in 1995, the 7th Istanbul Biennial in 2001 and the São Paolo Biennial in 2002. Önsoy continues his work in Istanbul.
