İNCİ FURNİ (1976 - )

İnci Furni, born in Bursa in 1976, graduated from the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Her drawings, paintings, sculptures and installations combine a subjective outlook with a symbolic visual language. Her snapshots represent figures and situations of daily life which are either deconstructed or look sarcastic. İnci Furni is interested in images of collective gender construction, current and political events, religious and ideological displays and their ironic interpretations. Her serial drawings and sculptures investigate mankind’s questioning power and frontiers of imagination. The artist lives and works in İstanbul.
