Nejat Satı

Nejat Satı (1982-   )

He was born in Izmir in 1982. He graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting. Outside of Europe, he opened a personal exhibition at the Hong Kong - Yallay Center. The most important feature of the artist, who draws attention with his experiments to differentiate canvas painting among young generation artists, is his passion for materials and colors. He literally draws the audience into a different field of fiction by putting the "concept of space" into play in his works that he formulated by staying out of distinctions such as abstract, figurative or semi-figurative. The artist does not only place the canvas painting at the center of different pursuits, but by bringing a conceptual opening to it, while pursuing untouched visuals, he does not look around or behind. He continues his life and work in Istanbul.
