ZEKİ KIRAL (1927 - )

He was born in 1927. He first worked with Cemal Tollu and then in Çallı workshop with Feyhaman Duran and Ali Çelebi. He was influenced by Ali Çelebi's paintings. He made abstract works in 1955-1956 in which he benefited from the art of calligraphy. He was elected to the UNESCO Plastic Arts Commission in 1957. He graduated from the State Academy of Fine Arts in 1952. In the same year, he completed his education in the Journalism Department of Istanbul University Faculty of Economics. In 1961, one of his work was exhibited in the Contemporary World artists exhibition at the Paris Art-Modern Museum. Painters Association of Turkey and Turkey served as president of the Federation presidency of Fine Arts. The artist lives and works in Istanbul.
