Mithat Şen

MİTHAT ŞEN (1957 -   )

Şen was born in Istanbul in 1957. He graduated from the Painting Department Istanbul Academy of Fine Arts of Marmara University, and had his first solo exhibition in Istanbul in 1982. He represented Turkey in Venice Biennial in 1990. He uses abstract organic structural forms to reflects the relationship between reality and imagination in a unique technical level. He evaluates the integrity of human body, as a structural character of a visual organism. In his recent works of abstract compositions he uses a variety of different materials. Mithat Şen lives and works in Istanbul.
