SALİH ACAR

Acar was born in Plovdiv in 1927. Graduated from Sofia Fine Arts Academy, Painting department. Later he continued his education in Istanbul State Fine Arts Academy (known as Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University) Painting department. He is well known as a bird painter. He has researched the life of migrant birds, their migration path on pure data and in his paintings he paints them in a stylized manner either singularly or in groups. He is a painter who specializes in animalier. Acar passed away in 2001.
