August 1936 rent receipt with a letterhead with the picture of Maçka Palas on it in Turkish-French, issued by the owner of Maçka Palas, Vincenzo Caivano, to L. Kamil Hanım, the tenant of flat no. 16.

Maçka Palas Apartments was built by Italian merchant Vincenzo Caivano in 1922 for Guilo Mongeri, on the site of Münire Sultan's grandson, Sultan Abdülmecit's grandson. There were 64 flats in the 8-storey building and its architecture was influenced by the Milanese palaces.
