EKREM YALÇINDAĞ (1964 - )
Born in 1964 in Adıyaman, the artist studied at İzmir Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts and received a master's degree. Between 1994-99, Prof. He worked with Hermann Nitsch. Ekrem Yalçındağ, who uses geometric and floral motifs in his works as a tribute to handcrafting, establishes a connection between art and design based on the traditional techniques of painting. While motifs create a visual illusion in the viewer through repetition and interweaving, they point to timelessness (yesterday - today - tomorrow) in a cultural context. The artist, who has held many exhibitions in Turkey and abroad, has works in Kunstmuseum, Stuttgart, The Hague / European Patent Office, Munich / Goetz Collection, Munich / Allianz Collection. He continues his work in Germany and Istanbul.
