Selma Gürbüz

SELMA GÜRBÜZ (1960 - 2021)

Gürbüz was born in Istanbul in 1960. She started her art education on painting, photography and drama in Exeter College, England in 1978. The artist had also studied painting and sculpture in Exeter College of Art Design for two years. Later on, she graduated from the Painting Department in Fine Arts Faculty of Marmara University. In her black and white paintings and animal formed sculptures, she shows the forms behind the psychological connotations with an emphasizing expressive technique. She passed away in 2021.
