Muzaffer Akyol

MUZAFFER AKYOL (1945 - )

Akyol was born in Trabzon in 1945. During 1968-1974. He attended Istanbul State Applied Fine Arts Academy ( Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University), Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu workshop. He worked as an art teacher for awhile. He picks his subjects from his environment and daily life and construe them with his own sense of humour according to his liking. He approaches society and its relation to tradition in a visual critical attitude. He considers nature as a mutual living ground and sometimes exaggerates, sometimes uses a simple wording when creating fiction and builds a bridge between what’s real and what’s a dream. Akyol has been in many exhibitions nationally and internationally such as; the United States of America, Austria and Holland. He lives and works in Istanbul.
