Engin Konuklu

ENGİN KONUKLU (1990 - )

Engin Konuklu was born in Adana in 1990. He received his bachelors degree in painting from Dokuz Eylül University’s Fine Arts Faculty where he continues his post gradute study in the same major. By transferring frames from old photograph shots to canvas, Konuklu focuses on the concept of home which connotates past time memories. Depicting the melancholic state of unbearable longing of people through the years of war, genocide and epidemic; Konuklu also examines people’s search for subjective nostalgia for their own.  

The artist continues to live and work in Istanbul.
