İBRAHİM ÇİFTÇİOĞLU (1952 - )

Çiftçioğlu was born in Çorum in 1952. He graduated from Fine Arts Department of the Gazi Institute of Education. In 1986, he earned his MA from the Marmara University. He is among the representatives of the understanding where visual motifs and images are solely conceptual to serve functional purposes, and the idea is converted to internal content with concept and communication elements. He not only works with oil techniques, but also tries to broaden the use of prints. He uses large compositions with symbols, signs and indicators to reinforce the effect of the message. He lives and works in Istanbul.
