ŞEREF BİGALI (1925 - 2005)

Şeref Bigalı, born in Bergama in 1925, graduated from the workshop of Cemal Tollu at İstanbul State Fine Arts Academy currently Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. He went to Paris in 1925 to study at the private academy of H. Goetzl and followed by courses at the Art schools of Raspail, Frochot and Fontainebleau. Although his artistic style is figurative and naturalistic his interpretations reflect a composition defined by the importance of colors within his concept of art. The artist passed away in 2005.
