Mustafa Sekban

Mustafa Sekban, born in Trabzon in 1950, is one of the master artists of the hyperrealist movement. In his paintings, he brings the fishermen and the Bosphorus to the fore in order not to forget the changing old silhouette of Istanbul and to introduce it to the world. His interest in Istanbul, which can be described as a nautical city, is about the laboring sea people of this city. While transferring every tone of the sea color of Istanbul to his canvas like impressionist painters, he comes across with photorealist paintings with his unique style and technique.
