Güçlü Öztekin

Öztekin was born in Eskişehir in 1978. He graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. His paintings, performance and video works attract much attention. His shows can be regarded as the result of the performative impact-response relation between the artist and his material (paper). He says that he displays the economy of his works and he claims that this economy results from everyday life. In his show, he creates in a way, a simulation. In this simulation, he carries his work environment to the show environment and offers a wide selection of his works. He participated in the 2009 Lyon Biennial. He currently lives and works in İstanbul.
