Ani Çelik Arevyan

Arevyan, was born in Istanbul in 1961, and began her work in photography in 1985. Her work is in many private collections, Paris National library, and permanent collection.  She researches the almost robotic, single type urbaner’s city life, maybe their complete landlessness in her art. In her photographs, the artist places emphasis on the trilogy of man, nature, and life that completes the wholeness and presents herself and what is from what we see, what we understand, and perceive. Not to search for the truth or to judge but to undertsand, to create awareness from her own interpretation. Her works can be seen in many mono and group exhibitions. Arevyan works and lives in Istanbul.
