Erol Deran

Turkish musician and painter Erol Deran was born in Ankara in 1937.

In 1961, he graduated from the State Academy of Fine Arts (Mimar Sinan University Fine Arts Faculty), Department of Decorative Arts, Sabih Gözen's Fabric Patterns Workshop. During his education at the Academy, Prof. Sabri Berkel and Prof. He also worked in the workshops of Gevher Bozkurt.

In the Universal Painting competition themed “My Country in 2000” organized by Windsor & Newton firm internationally, the artist's work was entitled to enter the top 20 among 22 000 works. He received Honorable Mention in the "Bolu, Life in Bolu" competition organized by the Bolu Governorship in 1984.

The artist, whose paintings have been exhibited in various group exhibitions, is also an official and private guest in the field of music; He gave various concerts and recitals in America, Spain, France, Belgium, Italy, Denmark, Austria, Germany, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt, Tunisia and Algeria. The paintings of the artist are in official and private collections at home and abroad. The artist, who is a professor of music, works as a lecturer at Haliç University Conservatory.
