Hüseyin Yüce

Hüseyin Yüce

He was born in Kütahya / Göveçci village in 1928. He took calligraphy lessons from the village imam. He learned to read at night courses opened by the state. He started painting with the encouragement of Necati Astarcıoğlu, one of the painters from Kütahya who came to the village to paint. His first paintings are the landscape and İsmet İnönü portrait that he made at the request of Astarcıoğlu. The naive painter opened his first exhibition at the Kütahya State Fine Arts Gallery in 1965 at the suggestion of his village teacher. Yüce, who started to make a name for himself in the painting circles of the capital after his second exhibition in 1968, observed nature with a simple, insightful gaze, and loved to paint autumn and countryside. His paintings included fairy-tale and magical nature interpretations of the village and its surroundings, in which he lived since his childhood. He approached nature with a constant observation, down to the smallest detail, with the same detail in the far and near plans. He created a mystical nature image with pure colors. He held exhibitions abroad in Czechoslovakia, India, Monaco, Romania, Finland, France, Hungary and England, and opened nearly 30 personal exhibitions in Turkey. Naive Painter Hüseyin Yüce's last work is Hüseyin Yüce's large painting, which he made for Hacettepe University, decorated with trees and colors. The artist, who loves to play the violin, has a sensitive, emotional, humorous and helpful personality.
