Gökçe Er (1982 - )

Gokce Er;  graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Painting Department, with the first place. She completed her master's degree in Italy, Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna Visual Arts Department, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Painting Department in 2009. She took part in group exhibitions and projects in different countries such as Korea, Azerbaijan, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dubai, Austria, Moldova and Italy, such as Siemens Sanat, Istanbul Modern Art Gallery, Artsümer, Kasa gallery, Ars Aevi, CerModern, Büyükdere35, Fabrica del Vapore. 

With the details in her figures, she offers a perspective on the individual and identity based on the social. In her compositions, she uses familiar motifs that connect the different surfaces of the painting and overlaps them in order to strengthen the coming together of nature and man. She takes the motif phenomenon, which is frequently used in daily life, on the street and indoors, and which can be found everywhere, and incorporates it into the painting. It transforms the concepts of covering, covering, covering into a method of creating a picture both in terms of action and content. The motifs she uses with this method, just like consumption objects in daily life, move away from his own reality, and thus the viewer encounters a new but also familiar feeling in Gökçe Er's works.
