HUGUETTE MACHADO RICO (1962 - )
Huguette Machado Rico was born in North Africa. She studied at Beaux-arts in Aix-en-Provence in 1962, and then in 1965 she graduated from the Union Centrale des Arts Décoratifs school in Paris, majoring in advertising graphics and illustration. She also worked with an Asian painter on lacquer techniques, Canadian engraving and metal engraving techniques; she then worked on high-quality tapestry, textiles, clay and lithography in Paris. After working for several years in advertising design and illustration, she later devoted herself to painting. She participates in many exhibitions and fairs in France and abroad. She has been living in Vincennes since 1980, where she has participated in the creation of many workshops in the field of Plastic Arts within the framework of National Education and where she has her workshop. As a painter, she gradually expands her work to sculptures made of multicolored papier-mâché, clay resin and wood ensembles. Her work is regularly exhibited in galleries in Paris, the provinces and abroad. She can be found in private and public collections and museums in France and abroad.
