Mustafa Horasan

MUSTAFA HORASAN (1965 - )

Horasan was born in Aydın in 1965. He graduated from the Graphics Department of Fine Arts Faculty of Marmara University in 1986. He worked in Germany, France, Holland, Spain, USA and Italy. Horasan had his first solo show in Izmir in 1988 and since then he has solo shows regularly in Turkey. The artist also exhibited at prestigious institutions locally and internationally including ParIstanbul at the Grand Palais, Paris (1990), Turkish Artists Exhibition in New York (1995), the Sharjah Biennial, U.A.E. (1999). In his works, a visual conversion is woven on the canvas, and new meanings arise in his art from the conflicts resulting from the opposite expressions of the formations. Horasan currently teaches at the Fine Arts Faculty of Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul and works in his studio in Istanbul.
