Zahit Büyükişleyen

Zahit Büyükişleyen (1946 - )

Büyükişleyen was born in Adana in 1946. He graduated from the Painting-Work Department of Gazi Institute of Education in 1967. In 1970 he went to Germany for his proficiency by winning the competition organized by the Ministry of Education. He studied in Kassel Fine Art Academy. In 1983 he earned his Ph.D in Mimar Sinan University of Faculty of Fine Arts. He became an associate professor in 1986 and professor in 1992. In his paintings, there is a tendency that tries to compose multi-meaning and free, spontaneous and expressionist elements. The artist lives in İstanbul and works as a research assistant in Yeditepe University.
