Mehmet Çetiner

MEHMET ÇETİNER (1960 - )

Born in Kahramanmaraş in 1960, Mehmet Çetiner completed his higher education at Mimar Sinan University Painting Department, and worked as a plastic arts specialist at the Naval Museum, and then as assistant director at MSGSÜ Painting and Sculpture Museum. Presently, he is the assisant manager of the Museum. He held 16 solo shows and particpated in many group shows. Adhering to a formative view of the concept of abstract space, Çetiner includes geometric elements in his works that increase the depth effect of stain separations with the free spread of colors. He lives and works in Istanbul.
