İpek Kurşuncu (1984 - )İ
Pek Kurşuncu graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Painting Department and has participated in many group and personal exhibitions she has opened. Kurşuncu, who constructs his paintings as small frames of a big story, reflects the rapidly flowing life and a generation that is intolerant, addicted to change, and cannot stand still in a fairytale-like language. In his works, the artist was born in the middle of a robotized age surrounded by technology. It tells the stories of its heroes, who live a fairytale-like life with their imaginary friends in the miniature worlds they have created for themselves, despite the concrete boxes they are stuck in and the cables surrounding them. Inspired by manga, anime, old cartoons, computer games, fairy tales, and the animal world, the painter uses acrylic, ecoline, ink, coffee, tea, paper, and glue.
