Ali Koçak (1954 - 2020)

Born in Tokat in 1954, Ali Koçak completed his primary and secondary education in Sivas. After studying at the State School of Applied Fine Arts for three years, he left school in 1976 and took a break from his artistic activities. However, his passion for painting has not lost any of its vitality. He worked in his older brother Kasım Koçak's workshop for four years and started painting on his own since 1988. His works are an attempt to express his own inner fantasies and dreams in an emotional context and in figurative language.

To date, he has exhibited his works in a total of 25 personal and 15 group exhibitions. Koçak's works are also included in many private collections at home and abroad, from Germany to the USA, from France to Austria, from Finland to England. The artist passed away in Bodrum in 2020.
