With its original ribbon

Silver: 24 g., 36 mm

The Ottoman Crimean War Medal, which is offered for sale at the auction, was given to Ottoman, French, British and Piedmontese officers and soldiers due to the bombardment of Sevastopol and its capture by the Turks during the reign of Sultan Abdülmecid. On the front of the Ottoman Crimea Medal, there is the monogram and the old alphabet Crimea 1271 in the middle of a wreath made of olive branches, and on the back there is the text La Crimea (Crimea) 1855 under a coat of arms consisting of weapons and banners. The design of the medal was made by James Robertson, who worked as an engraver and moulder at the Ottoman Mint.
