PCGS 58 PPQ Choice About New

America's First Federal Reserve Notes: The 1914 Federal Reserve Notes were the first large-scale paper money issued by the newly established Federal Reserve System and were the first representative example of central banking in the U.S. monetary system. These notes were partially backed by gold and government bonds and reflected the gold standard of the time. These notes replicate the green pattern on the back of the "Demand Notes" issued in 1861 and feature a different president's portrait on the obverse.
