Cem Sağbil (1958 - )

Born in Zonguldak in 1958, Sağbil received his high school education in Ankara between 1970-76.
He studied interior decoration and industrial design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Istanbul between 1976-79 and went to Stuttgart, Germany in 1979. He started his education in ceramics and sculpture at the Stuttgart University of Fine Arts in 1981.

In 1932, he gave art and ceramics courses at Kolpinkwerk and VHS in Kernerstrasse and Stuttgart. He followed architecture courses in 1982-84 and participated in the realization of an adobe structure in Cyprus using the traditional dome method of Architect Hasan Fatty. He completed his education at the Stuttgart Academy of Fine Arts in 1988 under the supervision of Prof. G. Spanulo.

He started his works mainly in bronze sculpture in 1991 along with tile and oil painting, wood, ceramic, metal etc. 1999 He founded the Art Bronze Casting Workshop called Bronzhane in Izmir. Saantçı continues his work in Izmir and Istanbul.
