Burcu Yavuz

BURCU YAVUZ (1979 - )

Born in 1979 in Karabük, the artist, after graduating from Marmara University Fine Arts Faculty, worked as a producer and presenter of culture and art programs on TV for many years, besides painting. The artist, who established her workshop after settling in Bodrum, still continues her work here. She has taken part in many mixed and personal exhibitions in Turkey and abroad.

She represented our country many times at the worldwide fair organized by the Louvre museum in Paris.
The artist painted the Cosmos in her works without the perception of place, time and space. She was curious about the unknown and revealed his works in line with the messages that came to her. Starting from the point of the universe full of secrets, the "Time of Purgatory", which is common in all religions, influenced her a lot. And again, time and space. This situation, which is the subject, has shaped the artist's technical development. She has created a unique style with a lot of technique and material richness. Her works are included in many collections in Turkey and abroad. Two works of the artist in 200x200 size are exhibited in the Qatar Contemporary Arts Museum.
