Mehmet Aslışen (1957 - )

Mehmet Aslışen, born in Trabzon in 1975. Graduated from the Painting Department of Dokuz Eylül Üniversity, Faculty of Fine Arts where he also received his master’s degree in 2004 with thesis “Kitch in the post-modern process”. He attends courses in Fundamental Training at the same faculty. His art is totally based on a design which uses and refers to popular culture. Aslışen, is a faculty member teaching “Fundamental Sciences” at Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts. He works and lives in Izmir.
