Selim Altan is a graduate of Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts, Department of Painting. In the artist's paintings, linear elements and large spots are not pre-designed, and a dynamism similar to the calligraphic rhythm is seen. Large spots that give the impression of unfinishedness also continue their existence as the expression of a large abstraction.
